Kim Hansen, UX designer

Hi!, I'm Kim Hansen

I'm a UX designer and have a profound interest in designing interactive digital products that encourage meaningful interactions between people and technology

A little about me

I have experience in working with various stages of development of a digital product, including research requirements, ideation, prototyping, user study, and data analysis.

Cooperation, organization, and creativity are essential for me, and I strive to approach tasks with well-thought-out processes and suitable methods to find the best solutions.

I live with my partner in Aalborg and when the weather is nice we love cycling through natural landscapes and forests taking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. In the summer I like to help out as a beekeeping assistant at my uncle’s farm. I also enjoy the thrill of watching Formula 1 and the creativity of exploring my mechanical keyboard hobby. At home I take great joy in caring for my cat — until the hairballs appear.

Work experience

Web Designer / Marketing Assistant (Project employment) – Andersen & Martini

February 2025 – May 2025

I redesigned and implemented a number of webpages for Andersen & Martini's new website which had to be migrated to a new web builder system. This involved design work with a pre-existing design guide and coordinated collaboration in a team to achieve the desired objectives.

UX/UI/Web Designer (Internship) – Steincke Soundlab

November 2024 – December 2024

I designed and implemented a new website to showcase a product collection. This involved developing branding, mock-ups, UX writing and design guide for the website. As well as collaborating with stakeholders to produce content such as product media, guides etc.

This resulted in a website that could be used to showcase the product collection in sales contexts.

UX Designer – Neogrid Technologies

March 2022 – June 2023

In the development of Neogrid's heat control and monitoring web platform, my work involved; research and specification of requirements for new features, interdisciplinary collaboration with experts, ideation of solutions, handover documentation for software implementation of new features, and more.

This resulted in new/updated data visualization and communication pages for the web platform on desktop and mobile view, which helped different types of customers to monitor and control heat consumption in buildings more effectively. As well as open opportunities for collaboration with new customer types.

UX Designer (Internship) – EMD International A/S

November 2020 – December 2020

I worked on a B2B web service that was in development and was tasked to focus on user flow and GUI. I synthesized design requirements from qualitative methods and developed a prototype for user test and evaluation of the design choices.

This resulted in highly beneficial insights that spiked internal discussions among stakeholders and directly impacted the design of the web service.

UX Researcher (Volunteer work) – Aalborg University

August 2019 – September 2019

I was single-handedly responsible for arranging and conducting a user study. My tasks were to; design the test, prepare the test material, recruit participants, conduct the test and organize the acquired data.

This resulted in 24 successful user participations over two days of testing and a rich amount of data that would lead to valuable insights.

UX Researcher (Volunteer work) – Assisting researchers at LEGO World Expo 2019

February 2019

I assisted a group of researchers in conducting rapid user studies. I also aided prototype- and test area setup and managed the participants.

This resulted in a more streamlined flow of back-to-back testing in a hectic environment.

Graphic Designer (Volunteer work) – Designing labels for honey products

March 2018 – January 2019

I designed and tested different honey jar labels based on ambiguous and changing design requirements from the stakeholder.

This cooperative design process resulted in labels designs that were satisfactory to the needs of the stakeholder.
