Project overview


This project involved user research, ideation, prototyping, and evaluation of innovative interaction technologies in autonomous vehicles. Shape-change and tangible interfaces were explored in relation to wayfinding and navigation needs in future mobility experiences.



About this thesis


This master thesis project was developed in close collaboration with Volkswagen Group Research in Wolfsburg, Germany. The project was realized at the facilities of Aalborg University, Denmark from September 2018 to June 2019 and the results were presented to Volkswagen AG stakeholders in an on-site demonstration and presentation.

The project has evolved its scope and it has been published as a research paper in NordiCHI '22: Nordic Human-Computer´Interaction Conference.
